Ten Things You Learned About Kindergarden That'll Help You With Item Upgrading
Path of Exile Item Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to enhance their weapons and equipment with new affixes that boost its base stats or adding additional perks. To upgrade an item, a player has to have it in their inventory and have access to the kiln.

Items that have weak bases, such as rings can be upgraded to stronger bases. Items with strong bases, like Titans from eth, have no changes in their stats.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. They provide an attribute bonus, or extra effect, while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, retrieved as loot by enemies, or obtained from missions and chests. Certain upgrades can also be equipped with special cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level to upgrade.
To upgrade an armor, weapon or other item in the game, the player must select it and click the Upgrade button in the toolbar. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected upgrade stats will be and also the element or material required to complete the upgrade.
There are three types of upgrade components: universal upgrades, prefix upgrades and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, which are made up of gems, are able to be used in any kind of equipment, and offer lower bonuses than upgrade components that are restricted to a specific type. Infusions are jewels that are only available in equipment that is legendary or ascended. They offer the same benefits as jewels, but cannot be used in other equipment. Suffix upgrades can be added to gathering tools. They will add the suffix to the end of item names. For example, adding a Glyph would make the staff wrapping of Minor Vigor into a Canthan staff wrapping of Minor Vigor.
In the case of upgrades to gather tools, if a player replaces one glyph by another, the old glyph will be returned to the inventory. However replacing any other upgrade component will damage it, with the exception of inscribed glyphs that can be swapped.
Leveling
The upgrade system in Path of Exile has some significant variations from previous versions. Gear is now classified into tracks and each item can only be upgraded so many times before it's "leveled out." The cost for upgrades is increased with each level however, the materials needed don't increase as much. This lets players focus their efforts on a couple of essential items and maximize their impact instead of spreading cost of upgrades across several pieces.
This allows the item to receive upgraded components and a higher chance of success. This bonus is called the Artisan's Energy. It resets to 0 if an upgrade fails or increases if the upgrade succeeds.
When a piece is upgraded to the maximum level, it is able to get the affixes needed to enhance its abilities. The number of affixes available depends on the item's base type. For instance an uncommon or unique weapon that has a standard base will have only two affixes. A legend armor will have eight affixes.
Each upgrade requires the use of a certain amount of Flightstones and crests to complete based on the current level of the item and the item slot it's in. Weapons will typically require more Flightstones than other equipment.
If an item does not reach its maximum level, the NPC gives players the option to transfer it to a different character and then re-infuse it with a different set of upgrades. The process can take as long as two hours and will cost the same amount of material, though it will result in less chance of success.
To determine the height of a building, engineers will employ an instrument to compare the measurement to an established reference point, like a benchmark or the elevation of the ground. This process is known as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings using the backsight rod and the level and then turning the level and making the foresight rod reading. This method ensures that structures are built to a high degree of precision and safety.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of altering the upgrade components of an item. It is a crucial aspect of the game and can dramatically increase the strength of an item, damage, or other attributes. You can do this via the item menu or by pressing the Reroll button whenever you upgrade an item. Rerolling can be expensive and should only be used in rare cases.
Reroll tokens are earned by recycling upgraded items. These tokens can be used to upgrade the original item, or to upgrade another item of the same type. Recyclable items come with an indicator of level that indicates how much of the upgrade gauge is filled. The amount of level that has been filled is contingent on the rarity and upgrade cost of the item.
In the past, some upgrade items had priority affixes which made them easier to roll for than others. This meant that you would get the stats that mattered most to your build more often than other items. This included things like the armor's total armor, thorns and duration reduction stats that are controlled or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.
This changed with the recent patch. Priority affixes are no longer required and all upgrades will have the same chance of rolling for every stat. This could be good or bad, depending on what you want and need from your equipment.
Each upgraded item may also have a unique fixed-value, fixed-value benefit that increases its power by a certain percentage. These bonuses are added into the usual affixes. The more you improve an item, the greater your chance of getting an exclusive bonus.
The game also includes number sets that grant a bonus when three or four upgraded items from the set are placed on an unit. This is an excellent method to add lots of power to a specific character without spending an excessive amount of money.
Many players choose to reroll their equipment and weapons, especially in the beginning of the game. Rerolling can help you gain a stronger character faster, allowing you to advance in the game and reach higher tiers.
Sets
Sets are collections that can be set up in different ways. They can be different dimensions, have no elements, or only contain one element. They are useful for organizing data or sorting information. They are also useful in studying patterns. Sets can be classified in various ways such as size and shape.
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom provides an array of set items that can be upgraded. Certain items are worth upgrading, while others aren't. Armor sets that provide high defense values or set bonuses are usually worth upgrading. However, upgrades to weapons typically do not improve the quality of the item's stats when as compared to their counterparts in purple. This makes them less appealing to upgrade when your collection of weapons and armor pieces is already extensive.
Set items can be upgraded to include unique functions that are beneficial for specific builds. Guillaume's Face face and Aldur's Advance boots are a good example of this. Both were upgraded to Exceptional Winged Helms and Exceptional Mirrored Boots, respectively. This increased their defense from 217 to 321. (
Home Page and Level requirements were also increased).
Another reason to upgrade certain items is to bring them up to parity with their counterparts in their tiers. The Immortal King Set, for example, has a wide range of levels, from 29 to 75. Upgrades to lower-level items can enhance their defense, and make them more competitive when it comes to damage.
Clicking the Upgrade button will display the attributes of the item and the items required to upgrade it. The item will be displayed with its attributes, along with the items needed to upgrade it. To upgrade the No-mouth Face, for example, 1.1K Scrap Materials will be required, along with 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards. Players can also check the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.
In general, weapons and armor have a higher trade value when they are updated. Upgrades to gold are recommended for weapons with weapons-damage or spell glyphs. This will bring about a significant improvement in their stats. This will also increase the defense value of armor with a newer appearance.
